The Edge of Wales Walk Team
|
Peter
I originally got this
group together in Aberdaron in 2003 to found the Edge of Wales Walk
and I now work very much full-time on this business; liaising with
customers, preparing quotations, attending tradeshows and driving
the minibus. I particularly enjoy welcoming customers to Llyn from
all over the World. |

Helen
I have been a director
of the company from the beginning. I now work for the company on a
part time basis - or rather a full time basis in the school holidays
when I am not working at the school. I help out with office duties
and especially enjoy it when the customers finish their walk and
come up to Dolfor for a well-earned cup of tea and piece of Bara
Brith. |

Louise & Mike
We live at Trewern,
across the road from Peter in Dolfor. Mike has been doing more and
more driving since the business has really taken off and Louise has
been helping out with B&B, chatting to customers about the area, and
helping to cater for the many visitors at Dolfor. We especially
enjoy taking customers over to Bardsey and introducing them to the
delights of this magical island. Mike has now taken the position of
travel trade manager for Walking North Wales and will be the
anchor-man when we go to Showcase Wales. |

Laura & Ed
I have been company
secretary for Edge of Wales from day 1, but Laura and I run a
restaurant on Anglesey (Ann's Pantry 01248 410 386) and I also work
on the Moelfre Lifeboat crew. so you won't see much of me! I am
looking at the bigger picture. If we could only spread this sort of
operation to Anglesey (which has its own coastal path) and then
further afield through our new venture, Walking North Wales, then we
wouldn't just have started a local business, we would be building an
industry for Wales. |

Simon
I live just outside
Aberdaron and I've been working for the Edge of Wales Walk since the
beginning. I've been thoroughly enjoying the work, as I'm often out
driving our customers to the walk through the beautiful countryside
of Pen Llyn. I also take bookings on the phone. It's great to know
that I'm working for a company that, by attracting more visitors to
the peninsula outside of the main holiday season, is doing good for
the wider community. I have been learning Welsh through a course
operated by the University of Wales - Bangor, and hope to be fairly
rhugl in a few year's time. |
